Cartagena, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984, is becoming a select travel destination for locals and foreigners looking for history, culture and tradition surrounded with natural beauty and untouched shores.

The city is famous for its unique role in the history of the Spanish conquest in the 15th and 16th Century and the ensuing territorial colonization of South America. Many remnants of this period perpetuate the cultural, political and economical strength of this period. Later, Cartagena hosted the British colonizers and occasional pirates. The first independence movements, which spread like a spark throughout the entire continent, started off here.

Cartagena of the Indies… the very name has magic and inspiration.
